Workshop and Meeting

Today we watched the rest of the group presentations and discussed the possibility of setting up a Media, Video Drama group based Casting Call, so that we can choose from a number of actors. Abi, Dan and myself have decided that we still want to have our own separate Casting Auditions as we do not want to be fighting other groups over certain actors, which we feel is likely to happen.

Today I also provided Dan and Abi with a version of the script that I have written, for them to edit.


We have currently set aside a date for filming: December 7th in Abi's father's bathroom/kitchen showroom, in Buckinghamshire, and we have decided our teaser will feature the I Love Lucy, 1950's sitcom styled scene.

Unfortunately, the companies which Abi emailed, with regards to filming in showroom locations either haven't responded or have replied to say that we will be unable to use their facilities for our final film. We will continue trying to contact similar places, including a bathroom/kitchen/bedroom showroom chain called HKS based around the local area:

Abi has booked out the relevant equipment for the weekend of our filming day including:

• D7000
• Slider
• Tripod 
• Marantz 
• Fish pole
• Microphone 
• 300W lighting kit and gels

We may need to book out more lenses for the D7000 and perhaps a stronger lighting kit, but for now we are mostly prepared for the 7th, in terms of equipment.
