Recce for Trailer Location: Aqueous Bathroom's

Today Abi drove Dan and I to Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, so that we could do a location recce for the trailer that we intend to film next Saturday (7th December)

The kitchen (above) is where we hope to film the 1950's sitcom style scene. It doesn't necessarily look very 50s-ish but luckily it is rather simple and neutral in style, and so when we edit the scene to be in black and white, as well as dress the set with 50s like props, it should be quite believable.

The corridors in the showroom are quite narrow, but we should still be able to fit the dolly between them so that we can film some tracking shots of the showroom, or the characters walking towards the camera.

We have also discussed using the Jib so as to get some aesthetically pleasing sweeping views of the showroom. The showroom looks really professional, so we will have to focus on making the bedroom scene appear professional too -as if it were in a showroom- because we are filming it in Abi's house. We intend to film Ross (Character: Man) walking off camera when he leaves the bedroom, and will hopefully film him walking through a doorway into the showroom, as if he has just exited the bedroom department/setting. Hopefully this will look cohesive and believable.
