Update: 02/12/13

Today we focused on completing our 500 word treatment. We have tried to convey the style as well as the narrative, and hopefully we have done so well enough.

We also briefly talked about the narrative- particularly the ending- and discussed the possibility of the characters learning each other’s names at the very end. As well as this, we thought of a potential twist that we could also include at the end. It involves the female character having had the keys to the Showroom all along- therefore having had the ability to get them both out of the situation- but choosing not to as she wants to spend time with the male character. We thought that perhaps he could find this out, and that the very last camera shot in the film could be his reaction. We thought that the man could find this out when the Showroom reopens in the morning, and a member of staff casually addresses the woman by saying something like "Morning Jenny." (example name), followed by the mans shocked facial expression. We also discussed that she could perhaps nonchalantly say "Shall we go get some breakfast?" and present the keys to unlock the door. These are all just working idea's and we will add them to the script only when we have discussed them in detail, as they could potentially affect the structure of the script, as well as the dialogue and characters.

We also edited 4 major extracts from the script together, that we wish to film for the trailer, and created PDFs of them to send to the actors. We don't intend to include the full length of the scene's, but rather to edit out key dialogue, with which to inter-cut between montage segments, and GV's/Establishing Shots. We've discussed using the dialogue from these scenes as sound bridges, to link all of the footage together throughout the trailer, and we will try to do this throughout. These are the following 4 script extracts:

We have contacted Ross and Rosanna to let them know that we have chosen them to be in our film.

 Rosanna Bini                                                     Ross Kernahan

We also thought about some possible scenarios for (montage) improvisations that the couple could act out, in the scenes where they are "playing" about together. They include:

• Woman pretending to have a shower, she covers herself up shocked when man walks in and sits on the toilet to read a newspaper/showroom magazine.
• Woman is pretending to cook, and the man's interfering – she tries to shoo him away.
• Herbal Essences advert – man flicking hair in shower “Oh yes, YES!”
• Man tries to get in shower with woman – she pushes him out.
• Woman and man trying to fit in bath together = lots of shots of them in awkward positions edited together.
• Couple fighting over space in the mirror.
